Status in captivity : This subspecies is currently not seen anywhere in captivity oustide Asia. It is shown in a few parks around south China, Thailand and Malaysia but hardly bred.

Remarks : Three breeding pairs are shown to public in two medium-sized and one big cages in the new carnivores area. Other species are kept backstage in unsuitable conditions.
