Status in captivity : Extremely rare in captivity and currently shown in less than five animal collections around the world, all of them in Thailand and Malaysia. Breeding seldom recorded.

Remarks : A pair lives in an awfully small concrete cage located in the old small mammals building. They should be moved in a new exhibit soon.
