Status in captivity : The species is very rare in captivity and can be seen in zoos only in Asia. Some specimen are kept in collections in India, Thailand and Malaysia but breeding almost never occurs.
Remarks : A single specimen was kept in an awfull concrete cage until 2008. It's been moved to Taiping zoo.
