Styan's red panda

(Ailurus fulgens styani)

Status in captivity : Red pandas are very common in captivity all around the world and many zoos are getting their specimens to breed more or less regularly. This subspecies is seen only in China, South-East Asia and in a few American zoos.

Remarks : A single specimen is kept in a big but almost empty cage, located near the big walk-in exhibits for mammals.
